The Polish Edison and other inventors

Przystanek Historia IPN, series “How Poles shaped science”

We all remember Nicolaus Copernicus or Marie Skłodowska-Curie. But have we heard of figures such as Jan Czochralski, Alicja Dorabialska or Hugo Steinhaus? In the series “How Poles shaped science” the panel recalled Polish women and men whose research, theories and inventions contributed to the development of the world.

Beniamin Czapla – a historian of economy and society in the 19th century – also took part; the conversation touched on Polish entrepreneurs and inventors against the social and economic history of the age.

The meeting with Prof. Piotr Franaszek, Dr hab. Zbigniew Tucholski and Beniamin Czapla is hosted by Karolina Wanda Olszowska. The recording is available on YouTube.
